Position Summary: The Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach reports to the Women’s Soccer Head Coach.  The position will assist the Women’s Soccer Head Coach with various aspects of the NCAA DII Women’s Soccer program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, organizing and coordinating team travel, facilitating camps and clinics, game/practice planning and management, fundraising and academic monitoring.  The Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws.  In addition, this position will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

 

  • Assist Head Coach in coaching team (practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports, etc.) 

  • Assist in developing and implementing training and game plans. 

  • Academic Coordinator via study hall, class attendance, class registration and progress towards graduation. 

  • Recruiting Coordinator via events (i.e. tournaments, showcases, games and camps) scheduling, organizing unofficial/official visits, tryouts etc. 

  • Travel Coordinator via scheduling flights, charter buses, rental vehicles, hotels, meals, training times, etc.
