Job Summary

To assist the Women’s Basketball program and staff in all duties that pertain to Morgan State,

NCAA

and

MEAC

Guidelines. To serve as a liaison between the women’s basketball program and the campus/university community.

Job Duties

Job duties include:

Assisting the Head Coach with recruiting prospective student-athletes

Assisting with pre/post practice set up

Conducting eligibility reviews

Assisting with monitoring the academic performance of student athletes

Performing other duties as assigned

Requested Minimum Qualifications

Education:

The successful candidate must have achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an accredited College or University.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years of coaching experience is required.

Full knowledge of

MEAC

/

NCAA

rules and regulations and working knowledge of

SYNERGY

and Film Scouting is required.

Other Preferences for Consideration

Five (5) years or more of coaching work experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to provide instruction/feedback to student-athletes while standing, except during team breaks

Ability to lift, pull and push equipment used in Basketball activities/drills

Ability to climb stairs, bend, squat and other movements associated with coaching a Basketball program

Ability to use a computer, laptop, telephone, mats, props, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skill in cultivating and maintaining relationships.
